Dosage and Administration
Cardiospam® in capsules of 400mg. Daily dosage is 1 capsule after breakfast. Administration is oral.
Cardiospam is best taken with food.
Contraindications:
None Known .
Side Effects:
Mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea and epigastric distress have been reported particularly with higher doses (200mg or more daily) No other side effects occurred
Warnings
There is one report of CoQ10 decreasing the effectiveness of warfin. When taking warfin should be aware of this possibility
Because of lack of long-term safety studies, pregnant women and nursing mothers should avoid CoQ10 supplements.
Precautions:
Clinical reports from Japan suggest that supplemental CoQ10 may improve beta-cell function and glycemic control in type II diabetes. CoQ10 does not appear to improve glycemic control in type 1 diabetes. Diabetics should be made aware of this possibility, and those diabetics who do use supplemental CoQ10 should determine by appropriate monitoring if they need to make any adjustments in their diabetic medications.
